DaVita Clinical Research’s (DCR) advanced central laboratory is fully integrated throughout our entire research process. The 47,000 square foot facility provides specialized testing services, accurate data, and efficient turn-around to streamline your clinical trials.

DCR’s central laboratory excels in high-volume sample analysis, typically performing more than 144,000 tests daily on over 59,000 samples. Featuring the latest in ESRD methodology and technology, DCR’s central laboratory has consistently earned the “Accreditation with Distinction” status from the College of American Pathologists, as well as certification from CLIA. In addition, the laboratory operates in strict adherence to the recommendations of the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).

Customer Service
An educated, skilled, and experienced staff ensures consistent quality. In addition to more than 100 certified medical technologists and medical technicians, our senior staff includes two board certified clinical pathologists and a PhD microbiologist, as well as several staff members with multiple clinical certifications. Nearly a third of our team is dedicated to customer support, which means turnaround time for most specimens is 24 hours or less, and answers to your questions are available anytime.

LabScope Online
Individual trial samples are tracked using LabScope Online®, a leading-edge order entry and reporting system designed to streamline lab processes while maintaining strict quality assurance. Because the system is browser-based, it offers several convenient, time-saving features, including:

  • Secure transmittal of sensitive patient information
  • Enhanced custom report writer
