DaVita Clinical Research (DCR) is the bridge linking DaVita services to the pharmaceutical and biotech research community.
We strive for virtue every day. One way we do so is with unsurpassed knowledge, skill, and experience relating to kidney disease. Some of the world’s top nephrologists reside at DCR with scientific leadership in over 80 years of experience in renal research. These experts are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of kidney patients. In addition, our Early Clinical Research unit (Phase I-IIb) is focused on providing clinical research in complex/specialty populations and therapeutic areas.
Innovation and performance are also key virtues for us. This is clearly apparent in our Central Laboratory facility, where DCR’s team conducts each project with precision so new discoveries can be made and clients’ needs can be met. Further enhancing this process is convenient data access, the latest equipment, and a shipping system that is on the leading edge.
Perhaps what we take most pride in is our comprehensive database. We’ve comprised over 228 billion data points on over 115,000 patients. In addition, we maintain alliances with 127 active practices and more than 1,500 dialysis sites. We believe this extensive network is what allows us to remain virtuous. Our access to patients and clinics allows us to move forward.
DCR participates in DaVita-founded charities, such as the Kidney TRUST, to increase awareness of kidney disease through public education and testing programs, in addition to participating in community service activities in our local neighborhoods. One such community event is Tour DaVita™, a four-day, 250-mile bicycle tour through Michigan, where DaVita employees and friends raise funds for the Kidney TRUST.
